It takes multiple sequences of sanding with progressively finer sandpaper to open the pores of the wood, and by applying multiple coats of paint or stain, we create the best fnish possible. In our opinion, hand conditioning the wood in this manner is necessary, however labor-intensive. It is the best process to create the most favorable surface, be it paint or stain.
